are four blocks from the Mississippi River and a U.S.
Naval station that serves as a port of embarkation and

French Quarter is a 10 min bicycle ride and an $8.00/5
minute taxi ride or 15 minutes to the top of the French
Quarter and Canal St. by
public bus. Two separate bus line stops are within
two blocks from the apartments to the same destinations.
The
Bywater is a neighborhood that has been lovingly rejuvenated
over the last 20 years by many persons migrating from the
rising cost of real estate and rentals in the French Quarter
area. Many of the residents of the Bywater ply their
trades and professions as shop-owners, chefs, bartenders
and waiters, etc. in the hotel and service industry, and
many others are entertainers, musicians and artists of
note. In recent years, many newcomers who have been infected
with the magical charm of New Orleans, which is wonderfully
